Diego Sánchez-Ancochea is Director of the Latin American Centre and Governing Body Fellow of St Antony’s. His research concentrates on income inequality, structural transformation, development models and the political economy of development in Latin America. Together with Juliana Martínez Franzoni, he is the author of The Quest for Universal Social Policy in the South. Actors, Ideas and Architectures (CUP, 2016) and Good Jobs and Social Services: How Costa Rica Achieved the Elusive Double Incorporation (Palgrave McMillan, 2013). Diego Sánchez-Ancochea is also the co-editor of the Journal of Latin American Studies and upcoming Treasurer of the Latin American Studies Association.
